Greetings Members and Fellow Courtiers 

  I have decided to use my Empress Message to share with you a story of a friend of mine from day’s gone pass.

It was in the early 1990’s and I was doing a one man/woman show at a club called Big Julies. The DJ that evening had caught the attention of my audience by doing a fine job of imitating me in the sound booth.  To the delight of the audience he knew my every move on stage and all the words to every song.

His name was David and we became good friends right away.  He introduced me to his partner Alex and I introduced them to my partner Wolfe.  Soon after we all started getting together for dinner parties and late night card games.  We had all become good friends.  It was not long after David became ill and the card games and dinner parties stopped.  David left this world and Wolfe and I loss contact with Alex.

  However our paths were to cross again through an organization called The Imperial Court of Hamilton Wentworth.  You see Alex went on to become Empress Alexia Zen, as fine an Empress as there ever was one.

There is no moral to this short story just a lot of great memories this organization has left me with.  Thanks for allowing me to share them with you.

As we look back on 2007 we have accomplished many things to be proud of as a court and community. As a court we have growing in leaps and bounds with our college growing and especially our fantasic membership that keeps getting bigger. In the first 4 months of this reign we have ben able to do some amazing things such as donating money to the Hamilton Aids Network, Hamilton Food Share, and most recently to our annual Christmas Wish Baskets. Without the dedication of this fantasic membership and community we wouldn't be able to accomplish the goals that myself and my Empress has set out for this 13th year of our Imperial Court. We have brought the fun and energy back to the organization, people are no longer saying oh do we have to go to another court event, people are finally saying oh what can we do to help and that they are doing in leaps and bounds.

2008 we look to our membership to help us with fundrasing ideas and other ways to reach out to our community and the communities beyond our boundaries, We are surronding by 4 other fantasic chapters of the Imperial Court which are Buffalo, London, St.Catharines and our mother court Toronto. Together we have helping raise funds for the communities of Southern Ontario and Western New York for many years now for about 22 years now and we have all have growing as one united organization. I would like to dedicate this message and the reign to the membership of The Imperial Court of Hamilton-Wentworth, and the community of Hamilton as a whole who has supported us. As we come upon final months of this reign we look forward to future reigns and to the people who will be willing to step into these positions to remember why we all do this, and the reason you are placed in at the present moment. You have the tools to help change this organization for the better, let's continue to work together towards a fun environment with pride. Pride season is also upon us, we must remember not to just celebrate pride one day a year but all through the year, be happy with who you are as a individual, Stand Strong and Proud in knowing you are helping to make this Hamilton # 1 Gay,Lesbian,Trans-Gender, Bi Premier Charity Organization.

We are Lucky to have support of two fantasic Bars who we are working closly together, we have now just recentley had a new Resturant/Bar open in the North End who we are going to be in talks with to host events with in the future. The Community has really supported us in leaps and bounds so far this year and we can't thank you enough. for everything. We look towards Coronation 2008 this August 9th 2008 as we celebrate the decade anniversaries of Emperor 4 Ron Barr and Empress 4 Robin Sophia Derring and also to look back on the amazing year which made up The House of Motown, Broadway and a Little Bit Country.
